United States Foundation for the Children of Haiti

USFCHThe United States Foundation for the Children of  Haiti (USFCH), working as a 501c3 organization, is dedicated to providing  financial, medical, and religious support and assistance to the needy children of Haiti through its alliance with  Fondation Pour les Enfants d’Haiti (FEH).  Through the efforts of FEH and USFCH,  children who might otherwise die as a consequence of the worst poverty in the  western hemisphere have an opportunity to live and grow in an environment of  love and security.  FEH and USFCH at all times seek the will of God in fulfilling their mission.

FEH is a Haitian organization, without ties to the Haitian government, which works to save the lives of children in Haiti.  USFCH is recognized by the  government of The United States of American as an non-government organization (NGO).

The United States Foundation for  the Children of Haiti (USFCH) recognizes and upholds the importance of supporting Haitians in their country and respecting their autonomy.

Current projects include:

1. Children’s Village School (School of the Good Sower II)

This new construction at the Children’s Village will be the first integrated school in Haiti where children with special needs will attend school with children from our boarding school as well as the neighborhood children.

2. School of the Good Sower III

We have an elementary school we began in the mountain area of Musotte in 2009 that just graduated its first group of 6th graders.  We started with 25 children and now have over 200 children attending the school.  The government has built a new high school in the area so our 6th graders have passed their entrance exam to begin attending the new high school and we have helped with their school supplies and uniforms for that school for our students.

3. C-Tech

Because education has become a major focus for the Foundation for the Children of Haiti, we want to offer a vocational school and university campus in the Musotte area for young people to further their education.  There were so many young people going to school in Port au Prince when the earthquake hit Haiti in 2010, there has been a great effort to bring services to the countryside where young people can remain in their communities and in their families and attend higher educational facilities closer to home rather than the already overcrowded capital of Port-au-Prince.  We have begun the first phase of this campus with the construction of a dormitory, dining hall and kitchen, classroom and administration building.  We hope to offer several vocational certifications as well as college courses in the near future as more funds become available.
